General Care Tips

  • Store jewellery separately in a soft pouch or box to avoid scratches.
  • Avoid prolonged contact with water, lotions, perfumes, or cleaning products.
  • Remove jewellery before swimming, exercising, or sleep. 
  • Wipe gently with a soft, lint-free cloth after wearing to remove oils and perspiration.

Gold/Black/Coffee Plated Stainless Steel (PVD or Ion-Plated)

Our gold/black/coffee plated jewellery uses high-quality 304 or 316 stainless steel as the base, finished with either PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) or Ion Plating. Both methods create a durable, long-lasting finish that is more resistant to tarnishing than traditional plating.

How to care:

  • Clean gently with a damp cloth and dry immediately.
  • Do not use harsh jewellery cleaners or polishing cloths designed for sterling silver, as they may wear down the plated finish.
  • With proper care, your Lewis & Eve gold pieces will maintain their luxe shine for years.

Black & Coffee Ion-Plated Stainless Steel

Our signature black and coffee finishes are created using ion plating — a premium technique that bonds colour at a molecular level, making it harder and more durable than traditional methods.

How to care:

  • Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth to clean.
  • Avoid abrasive surfaces and chemicals, which can dull the finish.
  • Store separately to protect the unique surface colour.

925 Sterling Silver

Our sterling silver pieces are crafted from 92.5% pure silver which can naturally develops a patina over time. This is normal and can easily be polished back to brilliance.

How to care:

  • Use a silver polishing cloth to restore shine when tarnish appears.
  • Store in an airtight pouch or box when not in use to minimise oxidation.
  • Avoid chlorine and saltwater, which accelerate tarnishing
